1 Introduction
This Article describes version 4.3.0 of the S240 Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer (RTSA) graphical user interface (GUI) application. This software is ThinkRF part number 35-0003, dated 30 May 2019. This product is distributed as a single Microsoft Windows binary file S240_RTSA_v4.3.0_Installer.exe.
2 Fixed Defects
The S240 application incorporates PyRF, the ThinkRF Python API. S240 4.3.0 incorporates PyRF version 2.10.0. Please see the release notes for PyRF 2.10.0 for information about changes to that software.
3 New Features
The following new features and capabilities were added to this version. - R55x0 and R57x0 products are now supported, where ‘x’ can be 0 or 5.
- New features and capabilities provided in PyRF release v2.10.0 are included. These include an improvement in spectral response in sweep mode where supported by newer device firmware.
4 Known Issues and Limitations
Following are the known limitations or other issues present in this version. - For the R57x0 family of devices, if the device is running firmware version 1.0.1 or older, the S240 will appear to pause for about ten seconds when connecting to the device, and then will operate normally. To fix this, upgrade the R57x0 device firmware to a newer version.
