Introduction

This document describes version 1.0.6 of the firmware for the ThinkRF R6000 family of real-time spectrum analyzers. It is distributed as a single binary file, ThinkRF_R6000_firmware_v1-0-6.img.

This version of the R6000 firmware is compatible with all ThinkRF R6000 products,

Refer to the product’s User Guide for detailed instructions on performing a firmware update via the Ethernet connection, which also applies when using the USB connection method. Users developing custom applications that utilize direct SCPI commands can incorporate the firmware update SCPI commands introduced in release v1.0.3.


Fixed Defects

The following issues were fixed:

  1. Fixed an issue where switching bands could apply the previous band’s maximum reference level ([:SENSe]:POWer:RLEVel), causing inconsistent reference levels at the same frequency across sweep iterations.

Improvements

  1. Improved capture saving by checking available storage space before saving. The command now returns an error if there is insufficient space.
  1. Improved network efficiency by updating the time-to-live (TTL) of mDNS records to reduce unnecessary traffic.
