Introduction
This document describes version 1.7.5 of the firmware for the ThinkRF R55x0 family of real-time spectrum analyzers. It is distributed as a single binary file, ThinkRF_R55x0_firmware_v1-7-5.img.
This version of the R55x0 firmware is compatible with all ThinkRF R5500 (all models) and R5550 (all models).
Important Note: If your R55x0 has firmware v1.7.0/1.7.1, it is strongly recommended that the RTSA be updated to this new version or higher.
Fixed Defects
The following issue(s) are fixed in this version:
- Fixed an issue affecting sweeping with the -418 and -427 product variants. (-408 product variants are unaffected)
- Sweeping from DD mode into SH mode with the preamp enabled would not correctly enable the preamp in the first step in SH mode. In the case of a full-span sweep configuration, this would cause gain to be reduced by ~20 dB for a 40 Mhz span between 50 MHz – 90 MHz.
Known Issues and Limitations
The following are the known limitations or other issues present:
- Very occasionally, the :SYSTem:DATE or :SYSTem:TIME command will return an error. When that happens, issue the command again.
- For users of the HIF feature, current firmware version does not support the use of HIF. Please use version 1.6.5.
